STEP 1: IS THERE A DEFECT?

“Construction defect” is defined under the Act as the definition of defect contained in a warranty or, in all other cases, a deficiency resulting from defective material, violation of applicable codes, or failure to follow accepted trade standards for workmanlike construction.

If there is a defect, proceed to Step 2.
